CSPC passengers have connected to our Wi-Fi network 3.5 million times

18.12.2017

More than 900 thousand unique users in the current year used the Wi-Fi system for free. Since January, CSPC passengers have connected to the network about 3.5 million times. The Company is always raising the level of comfort and developing new services for passengers, including in its commuter trains. So, today, Wi-Fi is connected in 69 of our company-owned and rented high-comfort level electric commuter trains (Standard Plus trains, and some of our Express trains). By the end of January, Wi-Fi will be available in 25 more of our electric trains: 23 new EP2Ds, which were purchased this year, and 2 EG2TV ("Ivolga") trains, which will carry passengers on the route Moscow-Novoperedelkino-Moscow. Thus, as early as the beginning of 2018, 94 CSPC trains will be able to provide Wi-Fi service. In 2015, the company conducted a pilot project to equip its trains with Wi-Fi - then the equipment was installed on 1 train. After successful testing, 68 trains received Wi-Fi equipment, including 3 new EP2D trains.
